i have a new crush on brandy agerbeck over at loosetooth.com. she's just cute as a button, and does she know how to do a website, or what? I hope she becomes rich and famous some day.
i can't seem to be satisfied with my desktop background. i'm forever looking for the perfect backdrop that is interesting, yet not too cluttered, that expresses the very essence of my personality and philosophy.
here is what i have right now:
try it out..........
i know, it's good,
the colors are great,
the message, good,
and yet,
just a little too
busy.

new dashboard shrines! checkout buddha and elvis!

i finished two of my dashboard shrines this month, and am working on a baby sweater. i didn't skimp on the yarn for this one. an alpaca/silk blend from debbie bliss, this sweater feels like a cloud. someone's baby is going to be very lucky this winter.
i also finished a pair of mittens, size large. hey, us big girls need warm fingers, too.
so, i'm thinking of dreadlocking my hair for my birthday. i have hair down to my waist, so i think it would look really cool. i'm so over trying to style my hair, not that i have to do much, i just wash it and comb it out and then let it air dry. but, that's even a hassel. hmmmmm, big decision. of course, it would be just in time for my family reunion on labor day. hee, hee, my mamaw really would be shocked.
i'm reading the creepiest book by jack ketchum titled the girl next door. really good, based on a true story, (the best kind of horror book), and highly disturbing. so disturbing, i don't like to read it in bed. no other book has affected me like that. not even helter skelter, which i read while i was homesteading and living alone in a farmhouse, way out in the country, with no heat, phone, or electricity. and pregnant. and i still read it in bed. this jack ketchum book has really gotten under my skin.
oh and a shout out to the great people at the knit nook. my new favorite yarn store on bardstown road, louisville. great selection. great service. great prices. and a nice zen, friendly atmosphere.
